Bonuses

This year we will try again to have an award for the faction that has the most members show up for any amount of days. (most likely the choice of a one of a few ships) So try to get other your other faction members to come along. This all depends on there being factions that bring lots of people though.

Also there will be a modest award for the Combine member that shows up, and recruits the most people at the convention (and has them actually sign up at the booth)

Combine Members that HELP OUT* will receive

1)  CPs (amount will be disclosed latter to people who are actually going)

2) A free combine T-shirt (maybe a couple)   (Ill post images as soon as we have finalized desings)

    Possible other things:

-- Custom icons for use on combine message boards  (Suggested by Keir)

-- Embroidered hats

--Lanyards for Convention badges

--Pens to hand out to people

I have other stuff in the works, let me know if you have any ideas.

You may ask your self why a reward for going to a convention. The reason is that conventions help the combine in several ways. Recruiting has always been a large part of it, and every year at the convention we seem to recruit more people then the last year. For the past couple of years we have had a laptop right at our booth and we help people make a new character right there. We also need as many people as possible to go around and answer questions and hand out flyers. One of the other things we do is hold 2-4 panel discussions in both the Star Wars tract and the Electronic Gaming tract where we explain about the Combine or certain aspects of it to large rooms full of people that are interested in hearing our presentations. Also there is the simple fact that people spend money and time to come help out at the conventions. When you add up travel costs, hotel costs, price of admission, and how much they spend on food. The amount in CPs doesn't begin to cover it.
So if you think CPs is an unfair bonus please feel free to spend the same amount of cash on a direct donation to the combine as we spend on the convention weekend, you will will get way more combine points, never have to leave the house, and you will have the last laugh.

    *Helping out means:
Taking shifts manning the booth, participating in panel discussions where needed, handing out flyers, answering questions, helping people make characters, etc.    Just showing up and stopping by the booth a couple times to say hi does not make you eligible for a bonus. You must also attend at least 3 days of the convention.
